Soul Scroll Changes
To open the soul imbuing window, go to the top menu and click on Others > Soul Imbuing
Soul scrolls are now linked to your character (not equipment)
Created a shop to buy soul scrolls using the currency Soul Fragment. These soul scrolls are bound to your character and can only be bought if you completed its bestiary
For legacy server: The soul scroll (and unlockers used) from your equipment will be transferred to your purse
Instanced Quests
Now you can do quests without being annoyed by unwanted intruders.
• You will have to setup an instance for the desired quest
Instances can be either public or private.
Public Instances can be viewed and joined by anyone without approval of the instance leader
Private Instances can be viewed by anyone, but entering requires instance leader permission
You do not need to organize a party beforehand. If the party was organized beforehand, then when party leader hits the Create button, everyone in the quest vicinity that’s in the party will be teleported inside
If someone wishes to join a private instance, they must send a join request to the instance leader, which will decide if that player is allowed to join or not.
Quest Difficulties
You are now able to choose a quest difficulty.
Quests now have 3 difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard.
Easy difficulty applies a negative modifier to monster's health and damage, while also reducing rewards;
Normal has no changes applied;
Hard has an increase of all of the modifiers above.
Daily Boss
We had some changes to this system. Now it has selectable difficulties with scaling rewards accordingly, alongside the introduction of the Soul Fragments into it.
Each increasing difficulty will result in higher boss health, damage and loot rate, while also adding more loot to the drop table, including soul fragments as a guaranteed drop starting from difficulty 5.
Added a new daily boss *The pale worm* for players of level 1300 and more.
Raid Boss
Raid bosses will now spawn in a separated room, to enter it the players will need to enter the teleport located in the spawn
Normal Raid bosses now will spawn after 1 minute.
Traits
Traits are a new attribute that you can imbue to your equipment (Weapon/Shield/Helmet/Armor/Legs/Boots). You will require a Universal Trait Token or a specific trait token for the equipment set. The trait will be randomly assigned (type of trait and value) and you can only have one trait per equipment.
● Onslaught: chance (onslaught%) to deal a fatal damage, increasing the damage by 60% (it can stack with critical damage)

● Momentum: every 2 seconds you have a chance (momentum%) to reduce every attack spell cooldown by 2 seconds

● Siphon: Every 2 seconds you heal based on siphon % damage dealt in the last seconds (up to 20% of your health/mana percentage)

● Retribution: Every 6 seconds you deal damage around you based on damage received (retribution % in that time)

● Safeguard: Your healing spells have a chance (safeguard%) to heal double

Class Changes
• Druid
New level 200 spell “Spiritual shift”: Allows the druid to imbue their spirit with souls of nature, each one granting them a buff and a debuff. This spell is toggleable and can be deactivated. Possible souls:
Guardian Soul:
+20% armor rating
-20% damage dealt
Nature regen healing increased by 25%
Beast Soul:
+ 20% attackspeed
+ 20% damage dealt
- 20% armor rating
Weapon attacks are now melee
Ent Soul:
Healing spells 25% increased effectiveness
-10% damage dealt
-10% armor rating
• Thief
Cursed poison maximum stacks doubled from 6 to 12
Roulette
Added a roulette for you to gamble away. Several prizes ranging from Soul Fragments to special cosmetics and relic boxes can be obtained.
How to obtain roulette coins:
Store: 35 premium points for 1 coin and 290 points for bundle of 10

• General layout change.
We have reworked some parts of the layout to bring a fresh and dynamic new experience for the players.
Some of the changes are:
Basic layout images changed
Classic view changed to open view
New and more intuitive custom trade window
• New chat module.
It is possible to move the chat window to wherever you want. You can hide it with “Ctrl+Enter” or Enable/Disable with “Shift+Enter” (It will fade in/out)
Fixed Issues of windows not properly saving
Removed the “Second Inventory” window

Story Line
Added instanced rooms for story line bosses.
Relocated story line Edrahil Boss Room from Elves quest to forest fury spawn.

We are very happy to announce the season 4 of blacktalon online in 5 days. (23/12/2022) 6 PM UTC.
As previously said it will be run in a different server than the current season (which will stay as legacy server). The seasonal server will have it's own website: https://seasonal-blacktalon.com/ To make this transition easy for everyone we have copied your accounts from the legacy server so you can just log in there and create your character!
Some infos about donation on seasonal server:
- During the transition between legacy and seasonal server we have reduced the accumulated points by 50% since the donation will work a bit different.
- During the duration of season the packages will have some high bonus on points (more than 50%), but only the base coins will be counted for points drop in the following seasons. E.g: 50$ package: 500 (+410) coins. You will receive in total 910 coins, but only 500 will be available next seasons
- The points drop system will stay the same of previous season
For changes between eras I suggest you to look into our discord (channel #eng-changelog). Some important topics added/changed between start of previous season and this one you should look for:
● New Vocation: Thief:
↳ A dual wielder (daggers) DPS with high a lot of poisons in its arsenal.
● Tower Arena: added 'Tower Arena Points' use it to buy bonus such relic slot, bonus damage, bonus healing and others.
● New continent: Icescar, level 2400+ area
● Proficiency System: Increase your slot proficiencies. Available for level 2500+
● PvP Changes: Some bonus are nerfed for pvp combat
● Block & Dodge mini-rework: Removed internal cooldown instead for every proc the Dodge Chance or Block Amount will be reduced by half for 2 seconds
● Market: Filter by time/price
● Instances: Areas exclusively for pvp-players (spawns, quests). To enter them you can walk to the TP or waypoints
● Special Vocation Scroll: The 500% bonus exp will be kept all the way until the reseted level

Third Season of Blacktalon is back September 2nd, 2022 (7pm UTC).
As we said previously, every donation point from season 1 and 2 will be given back. But to not inflate the market and make a better balance to the game, the store, blue diamonds and legacy points will be delivered in a schedule as the following:
Relic Fusion
If you find a particularly valuable relic, you can attempt a fusion which will, in result, improve the base stats of the desired relic if you succeed the procedure. You can access the relic fusion interface by going into the Others menu, at the top of your client, as shown in the image. Upon clicking it, the relic fusion interface will open.
To proceed with the fusion one must place three of the same relic and tier at the upper slots. In the bottom slots you will place up to three reagents that are used to increase your odds of successfully fusing relics, which will be better elaborated below. Reagents are not mandatory for this process, but bear in mind that the success chances are not so good without them. Once everything is in place, make sure you have enough to cover the gold cost, located at the bottom part of the fusion menu and then hit Fusion to start the process. An animation will play and you will then know if you have succeeded or not. If you fail, there is a chance that some of the materials used in the process will return, including relics.
Tower Arena
The tower arena is divided by floors, the next one being more difficult and more rewarding than the previous one. You can start the tower arena at anytime with no entry cost, however, if you want so, you can use a Tower Ticket that will be consumed in order to improve your rewards.
Bestiary
Bestiary is a system that allows players to have more information about a monster, such as how much experience it gives, how much health it has and its orb loot. You can find the bestiary menu through the Others menu, like shown in the image.
Waypoint System
The waypoints are a quality of life system that allows players to fast travel through different locations throughout BlackTalon. From normal locations, such as creature spawns, to specific places, such as the dungeon lobby, tower arena and daily bosses, players can access key places within the click of your mouse.
Spell Improvement
You can upgrade some of your spells and skills to further aid your progression against powerful beings and daring challenges throughout BlackTalon. The spell improvement system provides you with the possibility to make a spell better by increasing its effects.
Smelter
Smelt a variety of equipments and crystals to get gold, resources or lower tiered crystals
Cast
You can now stream your character or watch what other players are doing via our cast system! Could be a challenging quest or a chill time with some fishing., you decide! Use the command !cast to either look for players who are streaming their gameplay or stream one yourself.
